After a hard-fought series, the Capitals were able to take home their first Stanley Cup in franchise history with a 4-1 series victory. The Capitals won the first two games of the series in Vegas, then split the next two games in Washington. The Capitals then went on to win the final game in Vegas, clinching the Stanley Cup. The Capitals' victory was a momentous occasion for the team and its fans, as they had been waiting for this moment for 43 years.
